Parent/Caregiver Participation
A parent, partner, adult family member, or caregiver is required to be present at all of the child's lessons. The parent or caregiver is an important member of the learning triangle, consisting of the teacher, the student, and the child's adult observer.
In this way, the child is supported at home by the caregiver who has observed the lesson and understands the concepts and material being learned at home. Along with lesson attendance, the adult participates by providing support and guidance to the student during the week. Therefore, it is important that the same adult(s) come to weekly lessons so that the student and adult are learning consistently together.
